Description
Kentmere Film and Paper Fixer is normally used at 1+9 dilution.**
Film
- For a 300ml spiral tank you will need to measure 30ml of concentrate and mix with 270 ml of water at the desired temperature and stir thoroughly before adding it to your tank.
- Agitation – Invert the tank 4 times during the first 10 seconds of your development time and then repeat for the first 10 seconds of each subsequent minute. Make sure that you tap your tank firmly on the workbench after each agitation sequence to dislodge any air bubbles.
- Pour your fixer out and wash your film
** To prevent excessively long fix times for ILFORD Delta films an alternative dilution of 1+4 is recommended
Paper
- To make up 1lt if you are processing paper then measure 10ml of concentrate and mix with 900 ml of water at the desired temperature and stir thoroughly before adding it to your tray
- Fix your paper for 2 minutes (RC) or 5 minutes (FB)
- Wash your paper.
Wash
For spiral tanks, after fixing, fill the spiral tank with water at the same temperature, +/– 5ºC (9ºF), as the processing solutions and invert it five times. Drain the water away and refill. Invert the tank ten times. Once more drain the water away and refill. Finally, invert the tank twenty times and drain the water away.
For paper wash in fresh running water for 2 minutes
